This tool once downloaded can be used to determine the vaccines your child needs and is especially useful for quickly seeing missed or skipped vaccines according to the Immunization Schedule. Disclaimer

Note: Changes in recommendations for use of rotavirus vaccines approved during the June 2008 ACIP meeting have been incorporated into the Scheduler. The 2009 recommended Childhood Immunization Schedule will be published in January 2009.

Based on the Immunization Schedule for children 0 through 6 years of age

Instructions (Requirements)


1. Click the "DOWNLOAD NOW" button below to begin the installation.
2. Do one of the following:

  • To start the installation immediately, click "Run" and follow instructions on screen.
  • To save the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click the "Save" button. **
  • To cancel the installation, click the "Cancel" button.

To Start the Scheduler:

  • From Desktop: Locate Scheduler.exe icon on your desktop and double-click it.
  • From Start Menu: Click Start->Programs->Scheduler->Scheduler.exe

* Note: Please be sure to sign up for email updates so that when the scheduler is updated yearly, you will receive notification and can download the latest version.

** Note: If you are downloading in a corporate environment, you may not have elevated privileges to do so. Please contact your PC Administrator who should be able to help you with the download.


Requirements: Microsoft Office Professional (i.e., a version including Access)

Note: If you do not choose to install Microsoft office, please follow the instructions:

  • Download the zip file, unzip it and copy the mscal.ocx file to this location [c:\windows\system32]
  • The final step is to register the file. To do this, Click "Start" then "Run" and type: regsvr32 mscal.ocx and click "Ok".

    Disclaimer: This immunization schedule is based on the 2008 Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). This schedule provides generally recommended dates for immunizations based on your child's birth date. Some diseases or treatments for disease affect the immune system. For children with these diseases or for children receiving these treatments, the recommended immunization schedule may need to be modified. If you have questions or concerns, consult your child's physician or other healthcare professional for advice about your child's immunization schedule.
