Chief Administrative Law Judge Marc R. Hillson

Marc R. Hillson, Chief Administrative Law Judge, joined OALJ in July, 2003. Prior to this appointment, he served as an ALJ, and then as a member of the Departmental Appeals Board at the Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, he served as an ALJ with the Social Security Administration's Office of Hearings and Appeals, and as a manager, litigator and rulemaker with the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Labor. He is a graduate of Duke University and New York University Law School.

Administrative Law Judge Jill S. Clifton

Judge Jill S. Clifton joined OALJ on February 26, 2001. She became an ALJ in 1990, serving 6 years with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Departmental Appeals Board, and before that, 5 years with the Social Security Administration's Office of Hearings and Appeals. Her experience also includes private law practice in western Colorado, serving 9 years as a U.S. Magistrate Judge, primarily in Grand Junction and in Denver, and 4 years as a prosecutor. Judge Clifton received her BA from the University of Florida and JD from the University of Denver College of Law.

Administrative Law Judge Peter M. Davenport

Judge Peter M. Davenport joined OALJ on January 10, 2005. He became an ALJ in 1994, serving with Social Security's Office of Hearings and Appeals, first in Paducah, Kentucky and then in Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to becoming an ALJ, he was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky (1983-1994) and was in private practice in Lexington, Kentucky. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, the University of Kentucky College of Law and has a LLM from George Washington University.
