Purdue Promise is an exciting new program that combines strong support services with grant assistance to help eligible Twenty-first Century Scholars* thrive at Purdue. The support services are designed to help students succeed both academically and socially. The grant package - which will include Federal Work Study funding as well as the Twenty-first Century Scholars award - meets full financial need** and is renewable for up to four years (total of eight semesters).

Acceptance is conditional upon qualifications being met.

Twenty-first Century Scholars are Indiana residents who signed a pledge of good citizenship and academics in the 7th or 8th grade and have fulfilled their obligations of affirmation and timely financial aid paperwork.

Financial need is defined as the Cost of Attendance less the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC). The annual cost of attendance is estimated by the University using federal guidelines and includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, transportation, and certain miscellaneous/personal expenses. The estimated family contribution represents the parents' and student's ability to contribute toward annual college expenses and is calculated using the information provided by the family on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
