Take the Photo Challenge
If you've ever tried to capture a picture-perfect image of the Zoo’s giant pandas or wondered how the Zoo’s photographers snap beguiling photos of animals as diverse as elephants and naked mole-rats, now is your chance to learn the tricks of the trade in a photo-challenge discussion hosted by the Zoo and Fujifilm.
Photographers from the Zoo, Fujifilm, and the FONZ Photo Club are posting challenging photography topics and inviting aspiring photographers to submit their questions and comments. The pros will post their answers and suggestions, along with a new topic, every other month.

Enter the Fujifilm Panda Photo Sharing Sweepstakes
Calling all panda enthusiasts! Do you have a favorite panda photo to share? The National Zoo and Fujifilm invite you to submit your favorite panda photos for an opportunity to win a fantastic prize, such as a camera or photo book, provided by 
Fujifilm.
Every other month, beginning in February, up to 25 of the photos received will be selected at random and posted on the Zoo’s website. If your photo is selected and posted on the site, you will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes drawing. Six winners will be drawn throughout the year on a bimonthly basis; the first winner will be drawn on February 27. Winners will be notified via email and also announced on our website.

Sweepstakes Rules
- Photographs must have been taken at the National Zoo’s Fujifilm Giant Panda Habitat.
- Photographs must be recent—no photos older than June 2008 will be accepted.
- Photographers will be identified (name, city) based on the information provided in the submission form. Photographers must be at least 13 years old.
- Photographs must be original and cannot be digitally altered or manipulated in any way; images cannot be added or deleted from original photo.
- Photographs must be submitted electronically, via this website.
- Photographs cannot include people.
- Photographs submitted become the property of the National Zoo and may be used as the Zoo deems appropriate.
- Employees of the Smithsonian’s National Zoo or Friends of the National Zoo are not eligible to enter the sweepstakes.
- Photographs for posting and thereby, automatic sweepstakes entry, will be selected at random from all the photographs received, so long as they meet the requirements listed above.
- Six prizes will be awarded throughout 2009 on a bimonthly basis.
- By submitting your photo(s), you acknowledge you have read and understood these rules.
