Physical Activity for Everyone: Recommendations
Physical activity does not need to be hard to provide some benefit. Participating in moderate-intensity physical activity is a vital component of a healthy lifestyle for people of all ages and abilities. This section explains the physical activity recommendations.

Effective Population-Level Strategies to Promote Physical Activity from the Guide to Community Preventive Services
The Guide to Community Preventive Services has released evidence-based recommendations on effective population-level interventions to promote physical activity. An in-depth review of the evidence and recommendations, including information about how the reviews were conducted and commentaries from leading subject matter experts, has been published in the May 2002 supplement to the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
