The Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (CFBCI) welcomes the participation of faith-based and community organizations as essential partners in assisting our country's neediest citizens.  CFBCI empowers faith-based and community organizations to compete more effectively for Federal funds so that they may provide better human services to more people.

NEW CFBCI State Guide: “Partnering with Faith-Based and Community Organizations: A Guide for State and Local Officials Administering Federal Block and Formula Grant Funds, This guidebook is designed to provide practical information for State and local officials, as well as tribes and tribal-serving organizations, on developing and enhancing effective partnerships with faith-based and community organizations. 

NEW publication from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) “Partnerships with Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations: engaging America’s grassroots organizations in promoting public health” - This report highlights several strategic alliances between CDC and its faith-based and grassroots partners and underlines the important role faith-based and community-based organizations can play in ensuring better health outcomes for those most in need. 


Breakthrough Performance- Ten Emerging Practices of Leading Intermediaries –    In February of 2008, eleven leading intermediaries gathered in the nation’s capital for the Intermediary Summit to share practices that have led to breakthroughs in performance.  This guidebook is the result of their efforts to deconstruct each practice and examine the elements that make it effective.
