My First Deer

For many hunters the first deer he or she harvests can be the most memorable one. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission wants you to tell us about your hunting success and memories and generate an online certificate with your photo to commemorate the event.

Remember Wildlife When Doing Your Income Taxes

With tax season just around the corner, Nebraskans are urged to consider donating all or a portion of their state tax refund to the Nongame and Endangered Species Fund.

Half-Price Youth Lifetime Permits

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will offer drawings for lifetime hunting and fishing permits at one-half the regular fee to Nebraska youth ages 15 and under.

What a Catch

Whether you are a beginning or experienced angler, it is difficult to replicate the feeling you had when you caught your first fish. Now you can create a printable certificate of that memorable event to look back on someday.

New Open Fields and Waters Program

Beginning in 2009, landowners will have an opportunity to enroll their lands, lakes, ponds, rivers and streams in the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's new Open Fields and Waters Program. They may be eligible to receive payment for allowing public walk-in hunting and fishing on those areas.

Help Protect Our Great Outdoors

The Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the habitat, wildlife, and park lands that make Nebraska special. Learn how you can help.
