Some history.... 2004 Google Groups is used to manage the group membership and distribution - the advantage of the free and automatic storage of the data - which is building the largest pool of information (if not knowledge;) ever assimilated.

2002 After 6 years, the hosting site CCWR closes its doors, and the list moves back to a manually managed provider - (me) ;)

1997 Sowacs is redesigned

. . .Thanks to spammers, the list has had to be made MODERATED and CLOSED (members only) ....October 1997

1995 - the sowacs list is instigated starting with a few researchers sharing learning experiences, with very little available on the "net"... oh if we could have envisaged google back then!:)
