Gleaning / Food Recovery

President Clinton issued a memorandum asking the Federal Government to do more to promote food recovery activities to help reduce hunger in America. USDA has made gleaning (gathering crops/produce left after a harvest) and food recovery a top priority. The Department is focused on encouraging and providing technical assistance to existing and new private, nonprofit, and corporate food recovery efforts.
