Presidential Inauguration Update!

Thanks to all the members who expressed an interest in being a part of the floral decoration team for the upcoming Inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama. Unfortunately, The Society of American Florists will not be coordinating floral support for the upcoming Presidential Inaugural events as we have in the past.

In the past, plans for floral decorations have required a much larger base of coordinators, designers and delivery drivers, and SAF is the logical organization to bring those volunteers together. The floral needs did not require this type of effort this time around so the project is in the capable hands of local floral professionals.

While we won't enjoy seeing each other in Washington, D.C. this month, remember to mark your calendars for this year's exciting AIFD National Symposium, "The Sky's The Limit," which will take place July 11-16 at the Hyatt Regency in Kansas City.
