Community Economic Development
Discretionary Grant Program
The
Community Economic Development program increases the access of
low-income individuals to employment and business development
opportunities and improves the integration, coordination and continuity
of the various HHS-funded services potentially available to families
living in poverty. The program addresses the economic needs of
low-income individuals and families by creating employment and
business development opportunities.
Funds
may be used for technical and financial support for economic development
activities.
The Office of Community Services (OCS) provides discretionary
grants to Community Development Corporations (CDCs), including
Native American, faith-based and community-based organizations
experienced in implementing economic development projects.
