Changes, revisions, and clarifications to the OMRI Review Program Standards

OMRI compiles all published changes, revisions, and clarifications to the 2007 OMRI Standards Manual here. Applicants, participants, and other interested individuals will find the documents below in chronological order:

• June 26, 2007: Interim Final Rule change adds 38 substances for organic food
  
• July 2, 2007: Clarification on Nitrate and Chloride requirements in synthetic micronutrient products
• August 17, 2007: Change in the status and annotation for 'Manure – processed' entry for crop production
• September 13, 2007: Clarification on EPA List 4 of inert ingredients for use in pesticides for use in organic agriculture
• December 11, 2007: Addition of sucrose octanoate esters to the National List allowed for organic crop and livestock insect control; chitosan allowed as adjuvant
• December 12, 2007: Addition of several synthetic animal drugs for organic livestock health care; excipients defined and some synthetic excipients permitted
• September 19, 2008: Extended the deadline for the expiration of the allowance of synthetic methionine in organic livestock feeds until October 21, 2010
