| Miller Cosponsors Bill To Stop Congressional Payraise |

Washington- Earlier today Congressman Jeff Miller signed onto legislation that would prohibit members of Congress from receiving a pay raise this year.
The legislation, H. R. 156, has earned the support of the National Taxpayers Union, Council for Citizens Against Government Waste, Taxpayers for Common Sense and The Senior Citizens League. If passed, it would take effect immediately.
"Congress needs to reduce spending and return to fiscal sanity before it gives itself a raise," said Rep. Jeff Miller. He is one of four Florida lawmakers to co-sponsor the bill. The Chumuckla Republican said he will again donate his pay increase to local charities. (more)
