Inauguration Day, 2009
Oregonians Gear Up for Inauguration at Blumenauer's Pre-Inauguration Open House

Meet your Congressman and kick off the Inauguration festivities with your fellow Oregonians and U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer on Monday morning. Swing by Rep. Blumenauer's office in Washington D.C. for tickets, drinks, snacks, and a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the swearing in the 44th president.

"When our 44th president is sworn-in, we take another giant leap toward recognizing the dream that Dr. King laid outm" Blumenauer wrote in a letter to his constituents. "As we get down to the hard work of repairing the damage of the last eight years, we can go forth with the confidence that although we face challenges that may not  be won today, and probably won't be won tomorrow, these challenges will and can be won."

For those picking up Inauguration tickets: Ticket pickup will also occur Monday morning across the hall from the merriment in Rayburn 2261.
