WASHINGTON  --  The office of Congressman Artur Davis today announced the appointment of Alex Goepfert as communications director.  Goepfert replaces Sarah Kate Sullivan, who will be pursuing a Masters degree in International Political Economy in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa, AL.

     Alex Goepfert most recently served as communications director for the Ohio Democratic Party during the heated 2008 general election campaign.  He has previously worked in communications on both statewide and national campaigns and in television journalism as an assignment editor in Columbus.

     "It is a privilege to join Congressman Davis and his team in advocating for the people of Alabama and working to bring real accountability to government," said Goepfert.
