Partnerships and Collaboration

The National Land and Water Information Service is being built on a foundation of partnerships and collaboration. The Service is working in close collaboration with federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, non-government organizations, producer and industry groups, and academic institutions to leverage existing capability, scientific knowledge, information, expertise and technological capacity, to enable strategic linking of land, soil, water, climatic and biodiversity information from all these dispersed sources.

Additionally, the National Land and Water Information Service is working with other government geomatics organizations to ensure compatibility with Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) standards and specifications as well as with federal geomatics policies and practices.
