The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) hosted a global meeting at its Rome headquarters June 10-13, 2002, to review progress towards ending hunger. Participants at the meeting, the World Food Summit: Five Years Later, tracked progress achieved since the 1996 World Food Summit and considered ways to accelerate the process.
