The most prominent issue of the case was resolved in NIH's favor. The court granted judgment in favor of the government on Dr. Jensvold's allegation that she had been subjected to working in a sexually hostile work environment at the National Institute of Mental Health. The ruling represents the Judge's finding that based on evidence of the case, "a fair-minded jury could [not] return a verdict for the [plaintiff]." Judge Legg, however, found that there were other remaining material facts in dispute regarding such matters as extension of Dr. Jensvold's fellowship and her training opportunities while at the Institute. His inability to make an immediate final ruling on the remaining issues means a trial will be necessary to resolve them. ###
