Alabama's four national forests have numerous outdoor recreation opportunities. You can find your place whether it is in developed recreation areas or a quiet spot away from everything. Interagency Pass

Planning to visit a national forests and wondering "Which Pass Do I Need?" To make the best choice on which pass to purchase, you should think about your recreation plans for the next year. You have options like simply buying a single day pass, a multi-day pass, or even an annual pass that covers a forest or region.

If you plan to visit many different spots across the nation, an Interagency Annual Pass may be your best value. You may also qualify for one of the Interagency Lifetime Passes (Interagency Senior Pass or Interagency Access Pass).  Follow this link to get more information about the new Interagency Pass.

Camping Reservations

Additional Recreation Opportunities

Other recreational opportunities near the National Forests in Alabama.  Spend some time on the Chief Ladiga non-motorized multi-use trail.  The trail is used for bicycles, hikers, strollers, roller blades, wheel chairs, etc. and runs in and out - through the Talladega National Forest (Shoal Creek District) for about 2.5 miles.  Chief Ladiga Trail intersects with the Pinhoti National Recreational Trail.  Both were named as Alabama Millennium Trails in 2000.
