U.N. Ambassador Nomination Hearing

Susan Rice testified about her nomination as the United States ambassador to the United Nations. Among the topics she addressed were the organization and administration of the United Nations, regional stability and violence in areas such as Somalia and Darfur, and the U.S. role in international affairs. She also addressed problems such as terrorism, nuclear weapons, genocide, poverty, climate change and disease. She was introduced by Senators Evan Bayh and Susan Collins.
