Days prior to leaving office, President George W. Bush addressed the nation from the East Room of the White House, reviewing the accomplishments of his presidency. He reflected upon the tough decisions and accomplishments of the past eight years, as well as the challenges ahead. He expressed his gratitude to the American people, including the men and women of the Armed Forces. He also acknowledged the service and contributions of several persons in attendance in the East Room.
