ST. PAUL, Minn. (11/10/2008)—Those interested in agricultural drainage research issues and projects are invited to the ninth Annual Drainage Forum to be held Dec. 2 in Owatonna, Minn. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cabela's.
The program will features results and updates on drainage research and implementation projects by university and agency research leaders from Iowa and Minnesota. A selected list of presentation topics at the Forum includes drainage water management and water quality, climate and extreme event observations, dissolved carbon fluxes from drained lands, TMDL's, and wetland programs.
The program is intended for all drainage stakeholders, including state and federal agency staff, county supervisors, crop consultants, academics, contractors, producers, and others interested in drainage research issues in the upper Midwest.
The registration fee, including lunch and refreshments, is $40 ($10 for full-time students) for those registered by Nov. 21 with a $10 late fee for registrations received after Nov. 21.
