ESMGPA, organized to provide meat goat owners a forum for the exchange of information and ideas and to facilitate meat goat agricultural enterprises, is an active association with regularly scheduled meetings. The organization frequently presents educational seminars on such topics as animal husbandry, herd health, parasite control, pasture and grazing management, marketing, record keeping and showmanship. Additionally, throughout the year ESMGPA conducts numerous open meat goat and ABGA sanctioned shows.

The Boer Goat Magazine is searching for stories about children who have had an enjoyable, meaningful or life changing experience with their Boer goat(s) that we can feature in upcoming issues of the magazine. We would greatly appreciate it if you would spread the word. All they need to do is email me with a short version of their experience. We will then choose a story for each issue. We will contact the family for permission, interview their child and send a proof to them before printing the article. It is our goal to cover all of the best in the Boer goat communities, and we think there are stories out there that will touch hearts and inspire others, as well as encourage more junior members in the ABGA.
