Supported by the College of Agriculture and ISU Extension, the Corn and Soybean Initiative is an effort to better serve the needs of the state' s number-one-in-the-nation corn and soybean growers.

This web site is primarily designed so ISU staff can stay current with developments within the Corn and Soybean Initiative.

Welcome

The Iowa State University Corn and Soybean Initiative was formally announced on December 1, 2004.  The mission of the ISU Corn and Soybean Initiative is to provide science-based crop production information to Iowa corn and soybean growers and their advisors to increase their productivity and global competitiveness while also conserving the environment.

The coordinator of the ISU Corn and Soybean Initiative is Greg Tylka.  Clarke McGrath coordinates and manages the partnership program of the Corn and Soybean Initiative, and Rich Pope is a coordinator of ISU faculty and staff information and activities for the Corn and Soybean Initiative.

Future plans for the ISU Corn and Soybean Initiative include recruitment of additional partners for the initiative and establishment and sponsoring of cooperative, on-farm research between ISU researchers and staff and initiative partners.
