Nearly 50 people participated in a tour of Sauk County viewing flood damage, the effects on conservation practices, and how well they stood up to the storms.  The Otter Creek Watershed, Baraboo, and Lake Delton tour was organized by Sauk County Land Conservation Department staff and University of Wisconsin Extension official Kevin Erb.   Acting Westfield Wisconsin NRCS District Conservationist Carlton Peterson was interviewed by Channel 3 News in Madison.

Thelma Coleman, who has served as an Earth Team volunteer for the past 15 years, began her volunteer career with NRCS in 1993 pulling atlas sheets, finding soil and topo maps, fielding calls from area farmers, and assisting with outreach mailings.

Wildlife biologists from all over the northern bobwhite’s range recently gathered in Lafayette, Louisiana, for a technology exchange meeting.  The gathering was hosted by the Acadiana Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) district and focused on a number of Agricultural Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) technology development projects.
