As a consequence of the CCID reorganization, the former NCID Office of Extramural Research has transitioned to the Strategic Science and Program Unit (SSPU) within the Coordinating Center for Infectious Diseases (CCID). It is now called the Extramural Programs Team (EPT).
The mission of the CCID Extramural Programs Team is to coordinate and support the execution of the funding and review processes for CCID grants and to serve as the liaison between Programs, PGO and FMO for the management of grants and cooperative agreements. Research and non-research functions for all four CCID centers fall within the purview of this office.
