Date of Peer Review: January 18, 2007 - April 18, 2007

Estimated Dissemination Date: The Revised Recovery Plan for the Rio Grande Silvery Minnow will be disseminated by September 2007.

Process: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is soliciting comments from four independent scientific reviewers on the draft revised recovery plan. The scientific peer review will be held concurrently with the public review of the draft revised plan.

The Service asked both the Technical and Tribal Subgroups of the Recovery Team to recommend peer reviewers that were objective and preferably well known and widely respected experts in conservation biology, desert fish conservation, desert fish ecology, knowledge of recovery planning, hydrology, and water management. The Service then asked a subset of those recommended reviewers if they were available to review the draft revised recovery plan within the given time frame.
