epipodophyllotoxin (EH-pih-POH-doh-FIH-loh-TOK-sin)

 A substance being studied in the treatment of some types of cancer. Epipodophyllotoxin is extracted from the mandrake root Podophyllum peltatum. It is a type of topoisomerase inhibitor.
