Terry Peak NOAA Weather Radio Station on Reduced Power

The antenna on the Terry Peak NOAA Weather Radio station was damaged during the recent high winds, so the signal is weak and cannot be heard over most of its normal range. Because technicians must climb the tower to make the repairs, service restoration is dependent upon weather conditions on Terry Peak.

Any weather warnings or emergency messages issued for the Terry Peak broadcast area of the northern Black Hills, northwestern South Dakota, and northeastern Wyoming will be transmitted over the Rapid City NOAA Weather Radio station so it will be aired on local radio and television stations through the Emergency Alert System.
