SNIPPET:
Increasing
diversity in the U.S. workforce is a continuing trend.
That’s good news for employers and jobseekers alike.
Minorities—including Hispanics or
Latinos, blacks or African Americans, and Asians—continue
to increase their shares of the labor force. The rates of
growth for these groups are projected to be faster than
the rate for whites.
This article focuses on three
occupations—registered nurses, teachers, and lawyers—to
describe how diversity is both a reality and a benefit at
work. Each occupational description includes resources
about scholarships and other programs for minorities. In
addition, a general-information section is provided at the
end.
