issued for river forecast points or for longer term inundating flooding
for counties.
Flood Statements (FLS) may be issued for urban and small stream
flooding, or as a follow-up to Flood
Warnings.
Flash Flood Warnings (FFW) and Statements (FFS) are
issued for sudden flooding, usually localized and related to
thunderstorms. Flashflood products (FFW and FFS)
are not located on this page but can be found on the watch/warning
page of this site.
