Director, DDC Business Development

Itasca, IL

Requirements:

  • 10 years of business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business required, MBA desired.
  • Extensive background in business and/or Transportation/traffic safety.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated effective management skills required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budget management.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Organizes and directs the Defensive Driving Programs’ sales staff to achieve the department's new training center/sales objectives.
  • Seeks out and develops new national corporate accounts for the Defensive Driving Programs.
  • Advises staff of emerging trends, developments and policies creating opportunities in the transportation/traffic arena.
  • Participates in critical, long-term decisions that affect the growth of the Defensive Driving Programs’ product line.
  • Identifies new program and product line ideas.
  • Assists the Executive Director in maintaining direct contact with corporate officials.
  • Assists the Marketing Department in developing and implementing national and international marketing strategies to promote training programs.
  • Prepares contract bids for proposals for local, state, or federal government agencies and major corporations.
  • Represents the interest of the Defensive Driving Programs and National Safety Council before legislative committees, DMV's, AAMVA, and DOT's.
  • Directs Defensive Driving Programs’ activities at national conven¬tions, conferences, and workshops, etc.

Senior International Business Manager

Itasca, IL

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of international experience with P & L responsibilities.
  • BA required/MBA in international business a plus.
  • Experience with budget projections required.
  • Experience reviewing business plans required.
  • Intermediate Excel experience required.
  • Experience with Export-Import Bank insurance/letters of credit and other payments a plus
  • Involvement with international organizations including private industry is a plus .

Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with distributors, training centers or international affiliates and NSC business units to coordinate timely delivery of services.
  • Negotiates specific terms of agreements (RFPs and licensing agreements) with international network partners worldwide.
  • Manages the implementation of international network partner contract agreements.
  • Works through the customer service and product development offices, to ensure that products and services promised are delivered, invoiced, and paid as agreed.
  • Reviews business plans and works with international affiliates to fine-tune plans.
  • Follows up on new business development leads through internet or other sources.
  • Works closely with Customer Service to ensure enforcement of accounts receivable.
  • Responds to international operational and day-to-day issues that emerge in dealing with the business units and/or international affiliates
  • Understands the use of branding as a key to success for NSC International

Senior Instructional Designer

Itasca, IL

The Senior Instructional Designer is primarily responsible for the design and development, project management, and vendor relationships related to the creation and implementation of learning solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult education, education or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of adult learning, learning styles, and various instructional design approaches and processes to the instructional content.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify users needs, analyze and logically organize information, and transform information into professionally designed, engaging and effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, complex projects; strong project management and follow-up skills; strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, as well as Adobe Captivate and Articulate Suite.
  • Experience with graphic design, video production, and print production is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessment to identify instructional needs of the target audience.
  • Design and develop instructional solutions in partnership with internal customers and subject matter experts.
  • Create measurable learning objectives that reflect the desired learning.
  • Determine methods and modalities for the delivery of instructional solutions (ILT, web, online, video).
  • Design and develop instructional solutions using various tools and templates.
  • Manage project by schedule, budget, resources, scope, and deliverables.
  • Assist with the evaluation and selection of relevant vendor and third party solutions providers for projects.
  • Ensure that all new or updated instructional solutions comply with design standards.

Instructional Communications Specialist

Instructional Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for the design and development of communication programs, tools, and templates to be used by organizations and their employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or related field.
  • At least 3 years related work experience.
  • Ability to create clear and informative content based on target audience.
  • Experience creating deliverables for a variety of formats including print, electronic, online, and Web 2.0.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and transform information into engaging and effective instructional communications programs, tools, and templates.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, complex projects; strong project management and follow-up skills; strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, as well as Adobe Flash and Illustrator.
  • Experience with graphic design, video production, and print production is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop instructional communication products (e.g., online content, video, scripts, message points, brochures, posters, newsletter articles, email content) using various tools and templates.
  • Design and develop comprehensive instructional communication programs, tools, and templates.
  • Translate complex information into easy to understand content while maintaining integrity of the content.
  • Create and manage systems and processes that measure the effectiveness of instructional communication products.
  • Develop project schedule for assigned project.
  • Manage each assigned project by schedule, budget, resources, scope, and deliverables.
  • Develop, refine, and disseminate standards and best practices for design, development, and delivery of instructional communications deliverables.

Product Development Coordinator

Itasca, IL

Requirements:

  • 2 years in administrative role or an undergraduate degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Product Development team by coordinating all aspects of current projects.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing schedule for each training product based upon the project schedule, and communicates any delays to the team.
  • Documents specifications of finished training products and routes the specifications to key parties (manufacturing, marketing, warehouse etc).
  • Develops and submits RFPs for new projects.
  • Completes P.O.s and routes the necessary approvals.
  • Completes and submits paperwork for copyrights and trademarks.
  • Assists with proofing and editing Product Development deliverables.
  • Supports the Product Development and Marketing teams.
