Important Bird Areas- IBAs

IBAs are core to the mission of Iowa Audubon, and there are many ways to get involved with Iowa Audubon's IBA program.

• Identify the most essential areas for birds
• Monitor those sites for changes to birds and habitat
• Conserve these areas for long-term protection of birds and biodiversity

• Nominate a site
• Volunteer to gather in-depth information on nominated sites
• Enter your bird observations at potential sites
• Raise some much needed funding
• Explore your company's matching funds programs
• Work with landowners to help raise awareness of the IBA program

• Monitor a site near you
