Garden Green for 150 Years

The Missouri Botanical Garden opened to the public on June 15, 1859, making it the oldest botanical garden in continuous operation in the nation.

In 2009, the Garden observes our 150th anniversary, or sesquicentennial.

Join us throughout the year as we celebrate our heritage and look forward to the next 150 years.
