Observatories and Official Agencies
- Instituto Nacional de Sismologia, Vulcanología, Meteorología e Hidrologia (INSIVUMEH)
- Guatemalan agency responsible for volcano monitoring. Daily reports are available for Fuego, Pacaya, and Santa María (Santiaguito) along with intermittent special reports.
- Instituto Nicaragüense de Estudios Territoriales (INETER)
- Nicaraguan agency responsible for volcano monitoring. The Volcanology Department has background information about Nicaraguan volcanoes, and posts current activity reports.
- CENAPRED (National Disaster Prevention Center of Mexico)
- The main objective of CENAPRED is "to promote the application of technologies for disaster prevention and mitigation, to give related professional and technical training and to disseminate preparedness and self-protection measures among the Mexican society exposed to the contingency of a disaster." This organization also coordinates volcanic monitoring activities. Daily updates are provided for Popocatépetl, with special sections in the event of activity at other Mexican volcanoes.
- Colima Volcano Observatory (University of Colima)
- Activity reports, monitoring data, eruptive history, a photo gallery, and webcam images.
- Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica: Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico (OVSICORI-UNA)
- Much of this site is under construction, but eventually it will likely be the best place to get information about Costa Rican volcanoes. Sections will include seismology, volcanology, deformation studies, and publications. A few Spanish pages are available, with English versions planned.
