                                 DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE PRESENTS 
              COMPUTER SECURITY AWARENESS AWARD TO
       "AMERICA'S MOST WANTED" TELEVISION HOST JOHN WALSH


     WASHINGTON, D.C. -- John Walsh, host of "America's Most
Wanted" television program was presented with a Computer Security
Awareness Award for contributing his time and talent during
production of a computer security videotape developed for
Department employees, the Department of Justice announced today.
     Kathleen Hawk, Director of the Bureau of Prisons, presented
the award to Walsh at the Department's Computer Security
Conference.  Walsh narrated the videotape, provided the
assistance of the "America's Most Wanted" film crew and the use
of the FOX Television Studio facilities for taping at no cost to
the Department.
     "The Department is truly grateful to you for your unselfish
contributions of time and resources in support of our computer
security awareness training efforts," Attorney General Janet Reno
said.
