JUSTICE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES TO HOLD
NATIONAL HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH COMMEMORATIVE EVENT
WASHINGTON, D.C- The Justice Department will hold a commemorative program in observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Attorney General John Ashcroft will make brief remarks and the keynote speech will be given by David C. Iglesias, U.S. Attorney for the District of New Mexico.
September 15 - October 15 is annually designated by Presidential Proclamation as "National Hispanic Heritage Month." This celebration was established to honor and recognize the contributions of Hispanics to American history and society.
