Reno to Kick-Off Briefing
WASHINGTON, DC -- Senior Justice Department officials will provide a background briefing for federally credentialed media on the Brady Law's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) on Wednesday, June 10 at 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room B of the Main Justice Building. Attorney General Janet Reno will make a short on-the-record statement at the beginning of the briefing. Kent Markus, Deputy Chief of Staff, along with representatives of the Bureau of Justice Statistics and the FBI will conduct the background briefing. The Attorney General's statement is open for cameras on a pooled basis.
