GovTrip FAQs

Travel Card

How do I know I have been paid?

An e-mail notification "PAID" is sent the traveler when his/her document is stamped "PAID".  Please note that once GovTrip is stamped PAID, it may take a few days for the agency's financial system to submit the payment to the traveler.   Payment will be made to the traveler's payroll address (i.e., checking account, home address).  Contact your agency administrator if additional details are needed.

Why don't I receive reimbursement of the full amount on my voucher?

Some expenses are defaulted to pay directly to the travel card vendor (i.e., airfare, lodging, hotel taxes, and car rental).

What charges are paid directly to me?

Any expense that is marked with a payment method of "Personal" will be paid directly to you.  Usually, this is mileage expenses, parking fees, M&IE entitlements, ground transportation expenses.  You may change the payment method from GOVCC to Personal for lodging and rental car, but may not change the payment method for common carrier tickets.  Reimbursement for common carrier tickets (airline and train) will always be directed to the bank card vendor.
