A brief reprieve from widespread rains can be expected today as only isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, mainly during the afternoon hours. Highs will recover to the upper 70s today. Rain chances will then increase once again tonight, and will remain high through the first part of the weekend. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible.
