Private Certification is required for all applicators who apply Restricted Use Pesticides to their own land or sites for the production of agricultural commodities.

Workshops (recertification only) are now scheduled for Jan-Feb 2009. Click here for more information.

On-line exam (for new and recertification) now availalbe at: www.pat.umn.edu
All on-line exams (including retakes) must be completed by October 31, 2009.

Mail-in exam (new and recertification) 2009 packets and the study manual will be available at county extension offices by January 1, 2009. To obtain 2009 certification/recertification exams must be post marked
no later than October 31, 2009.

18.3 Edition of Private PAT Manual On-line!

You may use any version of the 18th edition of the study manual for the mail-in or on-line tests.

Farmers and other private applicators are required to have the Private Applicator Fumigation Endorsement on their Private Applicator Certification to purchase and apply fumigants.
