The Environmental Science Network (ESN) is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Environmental Management Science Program's (EMSP) web site. The ESN portion of this web site enables users to locate and search environmental science information provided by the EMSP, other government agencies, and related organizations.

The ESN "Search" feature allows users to simultaneously search multiple environmental science databases with a single query. Search terms may be entered directly or users may choose to search within a specific environmental science area.

With ESN "Alerts," users can set up a personal search profile and then receive weekly notifications when new material is added to one of the databases selected by the user.
