	The Northwest River Forecast Center is one of 13 National Weather Service hydrologic centers in the United States. This office specializes in flood and water resource forecasting, river modeling, and hydrologic system development. It works with water management agencies to provide the best possible operations of the Columbia reservoir systems. 	The U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES) is the principal Research, Testing, and Development facility of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Part of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Laboratory System, its mission is to conceive, plan, study, and execute engineering investigations and research and development studies in support of the civil and military missions of the Corps of Engineers and other Federal agencies. http://www.wes.army.mil

	International Joint Commission The International Joint Commission was established by the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty between the United States and Canadian Governments. The Commission has six members. Three are appointed by the President of the United States, with the advice and approval of the Senate, and three are appointed by the Governor in Council of Canada, on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Commission has set up more than 20 boards, made up of experts from the United States and Canada, to help it carry out its responsibilities.
