The Wisconsin Bison Producers Association (WBPA) is dedicated to the promotion, preservation and production of the American Bison in Wisconsin. WBPA has nearly 100 members and is still growing with 7,000 bison being raised on Wisconsin farms and ranches, according to the last census.
In 1988 a small group of people raising bison met in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. From that meeting the Wisconsin Bison Producers Association was formed. The WBPA is a non-profit corporation. Summer meetings and educational field days are held around the state at different member locations, giving people a hands-on learning experience.
The annual WBPA membership meeting is held the first weekend in March. Check our Calendar for more WI Bison Events.
The WPBA welcomes members from other states.
