Estes Hatchery has been in the poultry business for 84 years. We have the fourth generation of our family active in the operation of our hatchery along with many essential employees. Minimum Order

Due to the overall health and vitality of your baby birds upon arrival, we require a minimum live bird weight of no less than 4 pounds. Baby birds must retain the proper amount of heat for survival, so a minimum volume of birds is required for each shipment.

For example, you may order 30 guineas, bantams or pheasants; 25 chicks; 20 turkeys; 16 ducks; or 8 geese to meet the minimum. You are allowed to mix and match birds to reach the minimum weight. Weights per bird in pounds are as follows: chicks = .16, geese = .50, turkeys = .20, large duck breed = .27, small duck breed = .20 bantams = .13, pheasants = .13 and guineas = .13.
