Directions: The Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site is located five miles west of Kendallville on U.S. Highway 6 and 3 miles north on Indiana 9. Follow the signs.

Description: This State Historic Site is the second home of the Hoosier author. Visitors will learn about Gene Stratton-Porter's works and the things that inspired her.

The first Ferris wheel was erected by Hoosier Luther V. Rice.
