Celebrating the Life and Science of Ed Rall and Jack Robbins brings together fellow biomedical research investigators from the U.S. and around the world to pay tribute once again to the distinguished and fruitful careers and personal contributions of these two men who guided the research and furthered the careers of so many of us for over 50 years.

Sadly, 2008 marked the untimely passing away of these two great scientists, mentors, and friends who played a major role in developing and nurturing the field of endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health.

Jack was engaged in planning this very event to remember Ed when he passed away suddenly in May 2008.  We hope this tribute to Ed and Jack aptly captures the highlights of their unique contributions and reminds all of us of the principles we truly value in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.  May Ed’s and Jack’s groundbreaking work continue to help advance the science of endocrine medicine and may their memories live on for generations to come.
