The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) conducts and supports biomedical research and training related to diabetes mellitus; endocrine, bone, and metabolic diseases; digestive diseases, including liver diseases and nutritional disorders; and kidney, urologic, and hematologic diseases.
