Our members are involved with agritourism, on-farm retail, farmers’ markets, pick your own, consumer-supported agriculture, and direct delivery. They grow nursery and greenhouse crops, fruits, vegetables, Christmas trees. They raise livestock. They make maple syrup and wine, pickles and cheese. They sell at farmers’ markets or on the farm. Some have created the foundation for an incredible farm visit, lasting memories, and traditions.

Through the years, we've learned that one of the most valuable educational tools is networking. NAFDMA members are known for their free sharing of ideas, whether it's on a NAFDMA bus tour or during a one-on-one visit when members visit each other's farms. NAFDMA members have come to learn that they can rely on each other for inspiration and to help solve problems on the farm.

 As the industry has evolved since the association was founded in the 1980s, so must also the association evolve. NAFDMA now offers two levels of membership, depending upon how involved you choose to be with the association. Basic NAFDMA membership begins with Connection Circle membership. This is the best option for those wishing to be part of NAFDMA, who can't attend the convention but still want to be involved. Convention Circle membership is for those more active members who attend the convention and/or other educational event, such as the advanced learning retreat.
