Fire Requirements

Chainsaws and all other internal combustion engines must have an approved spark arrester.

An approved fire extinguisher and shovel with an overall length of 46 inches is required in the immediate area.

In addition to the requirements listed in #1 and #2 above, the following additional restrictions apply to fuelwood cutting by Project Activity Level (PAL). See fuelwood recording information below.
PAL Levels
- A, B, C: No additional permit restrictions
- D: No fuelwood cutting after 1:00 pm.
- Ev/E: no fuelwood cutting at any time.
- This permit is void when a emergency fire closure is enacted.
